Foot orthotics or inserts were developed to help restore proper biomechanics in the foot and ankle thus restoring normal foot function. Orthotics is beneficial for correcting a variety of lower extremity symptoms such as foot or knee pain. More specifically, people exhibiting symptoms of plantar fasciitis, heel pain, retro-patellar pain or shin splints are just a few of the diagnoses that can be treated with custom foot orthotics. A “Sole” certified practitioner is available at our physical therapy clinic in Wasilla to meet your orthotic needs.
Our highly skilled physical therapist, Jean Lindberg, has 25 years experience in creating custom orthotics. All orthotics are not created equal, there is not a one size fits all approach. The therapist will assess each foot condition and specifically evaluate for the proper orthotic. She will then offer a trial orthotic first before a custom orthotic is made within our clinic. The expense is very reasonable for our patients.
